A repeated tessellating design, is called an 'Ogee' pattern in Arabesque design.
The pattern for the lantern shape motif motif is based on a Granny Hexagon pattern, but with a few adjustments to come up with the curved design that tessellates.
The colours used are taken from the Stylecraft Life range (as in the pattern) and they've been adjusted for the Stylecraft Special.
